hi ! heres a carrd on how to define pansexuality without being biphobic
click your flag !
hello ! i just wanna tell you that you are so valid and your sexuality is so beautiful. i know you might be tired of being invalidated, erased, and forgotten, and im sorry for that.
you dont have to justify your identity, or change your label because someone told you that youre not bisexual. your sexuality is valid.
no matter your lean, you are bisexual ! and that is beautiful !
hi ! im here to remind you that you are valid. your sexuality is amazing.
your identity is not biphobic. dont listen to anyone who says that. you are part of the lgbt community and you deserve to be recognized in lgbt spaces.
the bi manifesto
biphobic ways in which pansexuality is defined
then what is pansexuality?
bisexuality doesnt mean, and has never meant, attraction to two or more genders. bisexuality is the attraction to all genders. dont redefine what it means to be bisexual.
to clear things up, pansexuality is a real and valid identity. however, some of the ways in which it is defined are biphobic. do not say these things to differentiate pansexuality from bisexuality.
"unlike bisexuals..."
"pansexuals are attracted to all genders”
bisexual people are attracted to all genders. saying that only pan people like all genders isnt only erasing the definition of bisexuality all throughout history, but it is also pushing the gender binary onto bisexuality. bisexuality has never been binary.
“pansexuals are gender blind”
this implies that bisexuals cant be gender-blind. although not all, a lot of bisexuals don’t care about gender when it comes to attraction.
“pansexuals dont have a preference”
blatant biphobia. not all bisexuals have a preference, and saying that they do is erasure of bisexual people who dont have a lean, and goes against how bisexuality has been defined for years.
“pansexuals are attracted to trans and non-binary people”
this is extremely transphobic. it implies that trans women arent women and that trans men arent men. it also suggests that non-binary is a third gender, which isnt the case. never say this.
